FBI Reports Cybersecurity Incident After Hackers Allegedly Steal Agents’ Personal Data

The FBI has reportedly told employees that it declared a “cyber security incident” after hackers breached its FBIJobs.gov application portal and stole personal information. Exposed data reportedly includes names, addresses, job titles and Social Security numbers, with some reports also pointing to medical information. The FBI has not publicly confirmed the full breach details. Hackers reportedly exploited a vulnerability in an Oracle PeopleSoft server.
